Default Your Favourite Music !

Not wishing to take anything away from Jays current " Greatest Bands of the 80,s "...I was thinking that there could well be many members on here with a love for music who were born before then ( well before in my case..50,s...lol.) who may have favourite musicians, tracks.genres of music etc, that they would like to share with others in the club ?
Now that we have a way of posting videos and songs from Youtube...I was wondering if a thread to post and share all types of music from members would be of interest ?
As I was born in the 50,s and grew up with the music since then...Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Deep Purple ,etc...and lots of various types of music. My roots are from Rock but I listen to many different genres of music and have been listening to Smooth Jazz for around 20 years now...although...I am not a big fan of Jazz itself but I find Smooth Jazz just grooves along and I can follow it. ( I understand Jazz is a freedom of expression in music...but..when 4 people are having individual freedom of expression at the same time...I find it hard to follow and appreciate it...although I was told that Jazz is like a foreign language and the more you hear it the more it makes sense to you...which is probably right ?)
Anyway I will try and load 3 people who,s music I like ( will take me a few mins and in no particular order)...and we can see how and if it goes ?

So put in YOUTUBE rather than 'GIG'

Hi Jay....yes good old Rock from the 60,s and 70,s was what I grew up with....but I still like the Blues too...which is where all our Rock came from. I..like you appreciate all genres of music too..as long as its done well. Here is a bit of acoustic Blues from a guy more known for his electric playing. Btw I have a few versions of " Black Betty " here at home...its a great track and Thanks for posting it.

Just thought I would add a little bit of Smooth Jazz to see if anyone likes it ?
Its by a sax player by the name of Richard Elliot.....well worth a listen.
Unfortunately this is just a track from an album and not a Live video as I couldn,t find one of this with decent sound quality...but it will give an idea.

Ian.

Hi Jay...glad you enjoyed the music...even the Smooth Jazz. I was listening to some SRV earlier....I just like all his stuff...another one who is no longer with us. Sadly most of the best from then are no longer with us...B.B. King must have led such a good life and gratefull that he is till around. I am just off to make me some food but thought I would leave you another Smooth Jazz ( SJ ) track. As you seem to be well clued up on the Rock/Blues side of things. Back later. Hope you all enjoy it.
