Dorchester Red Rover 75 Jap Spec Vehicle **SOLD**
Sold To Tam
Some of you might have remembered I bought Graham's (Gra123) car just over a month ago. I am now selling it . The only reason is that after a bit of a mad of moment I have bought another. The Car I have bought is exactly the same (except no xenon's) but less mileage 44000. But also costing 3 times the amount......it is getting delivered Tuesday.... This is for my dad but also I collect the cars and so I paid extra to get this low mileage model Here is the original thread when I bought it with photos. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=95121 . I will add more later. When I bought the car Graham had a problem with over revving. Unfortunately the people he used had constantly misdiagnosed the problem. So Graham had a new (used) inlet manifold fitted and a throttle assembly, with no joy. It still drove fine, started every time first time. It just did not idle correctly. As soon as I got the car I booked it in with Nick at Austin Garages (anyone who who knows him will tell you how good he is). After doing all the usual T4 stuff and setting the car up correctly, he diagnosed the problem as the ECU even put a dummy unit on to show me. I also got a complete breakdown of the stuff that needed attention, as I wanted to get it all done. It needed a Traction control actuator 2 vis motors, 2 suspension bushes and lower engine mount. I have fitted the Vis motors & Traction control actuator. I have bought a new, not refurnished ECU . it has never been programmed to a car that cost £175 the retail is about £400 I think. I also have the two suspension bushes, I do not have the lower engine mount as it was lost in the post (must have broke someone's foot if it fell on them. Car Spec Rover 75 2.5 Conn Se Jap Spec Car, If you were at the NEC for the classic car show it is exactly the same as the one on the stand. I think the reg is 3 digits off. Dorchester Red. Aubergine Interior Powerfold Mirrors Xenon Headlight's (Tam added them I think for Graham) Elecritc Blind Heated Seats Power memory seats that work from the remote Harman Kardon system Drivers Side cup holder Rover Torch Rover Recharging socket in the middle console Flare Clip (was destined for the Japanesse market) IT has every option I think available at the time. Mileage Approx 110000. Taxed until 31/07/2012 MOT End of Feb I think I have also. Replaced a piece of trim chrome that was dented Refitted Symphony system & CD player glove box Replaced the drivers & passenger side seat switch packs The car is in great condition just need to program the ECU on a T4 to sort the idle, and the last couple of bits added. If you need any confirmation then I am sure Nick at Austin garages can confirm Price With Ecu and other parts £750 Just the car £650 I think there is approx £300 pounds of parts Fitted Vis motors Traction Control Actutor plus spare one New Battery Cover New V6 Engine cover ECU O/s & N/s Suspension Bushes The car with Xenon's powerfolds etc and long tax is worth the price alone. I would say it is a piece of history and in my opinion the best colour combination. Last edited by Dominic22; 3rd December 2011 at 23:04.. |

hi Dominic.
you are correct I did supply and fit the xenons for Graham. you probably know I was speaking to the original seller who graham bought the car from, with an interest in buying it, but if I'm honest the guy gave me bad vibes I felt he was being echonomical with the truth tbh, so decided not to buy as was to far away for a disapointing road trip to collect car. then next thing I knew graham had bought it and came on forum, he kindly offered to meet and let me see the car{this is how we met}. then some time later graham offer the car for sale on here and if I'm honest would probably have bought it while it was local to me, but ££££ at time and drive space didnt allow. and now here we are again its for sale but at other end of the planet again, it just wasnt meant to be I suppose. to anybody interested in buying this car, its a nice motor for age and mls and a really nice spec. you wont be dissapointed imo. Dominic. good luck selling the old girl mate, I honestly hope it goes to a good home. regards. tam |

Wish I'd got money available - nothing spare sadly (has anyone actually got any spare money?!) and Cougars are pretty much low-rent in terms of sale at present...
