Default All kicking off in America

Last throes of a deeply flawed man who lives in a world of his own, disconnected from reality.

Trouble is some people still support him.

I would imagine the vast majority of Americans are embarrassed and to think it will be broadcast the world over too , I am only surprised that given the gun culture over there someone hasnít yet made an attempt on his life

I'm not really up on American politics. Are these the good protesters or the bad ones?

His last speech was incitement to riot! He should be tried for this.

They are the ones that do not like the result of a democratic process and try to change it by undemocratic means. There are quite a few of their like about. From Lib Dem’s entering an election on a mandate to over-throw the Referendum, to those who tried every dubious legal trick in the book to over throw a referendum result.

On the softer side some simply want to repeat and repeat a vote until the get the result they want.

But it all boils down to the same thing as is happening in America - those that don’t like what the majority vote for try to change it by whatever means they have at their disposal.

The only thing that gobsmacks me about tonight is that in typical American Naivety - the protesters could simply walk into the building unopposed.

Imagine a similar group trying to do that into our Houses of Parliament.

And Simon - I respectfully ask you not to censor or shut down this thread - any minor political references are entirely in the appropriate context to answer your question.

If you have to ask such a question - you cannot blame others if you do not like the answers.

There is absolutely nothing wrong, democratically, in offering an alternative to a previous vote. Otherwise we'd never change government's, a basic tenet of democracy. So opposing a previous election or vote is not undemocratic. Trying to force that point of view without a vote or against that result is and that's what is happening g in the US.

It was kicked down 4 years ago by those who simply could not accept the democratic process and devoted 4 years of their life to trying to circumvent it by hook or by crook. What goes around comes around.
