Sounds to me like a stuck or faulty pixel.

Burnt out pixel I'm afraid, wont affect the rest of the screen and it will most probably be in isolation, if you can live with it do so or else it is a new panel

From the description, it sounds like more than just an odd pixel issue. To me it sounds as if the panel has been damaged by excess pressure on one point, but not actually cracked.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Tiny bright spot sounds very much like a one off pixel to me

Handling around 200 TV's daily through the factory that would be my initial thoughts, of course my opinion may change if I saw it

Depends on manufacturers policy, some allow for a number of dead pixels before they will effect repair/replacement.

Is this policy not just for TVs, that you have to except a couple of dead pixels?

Hi George how big is the spot, what happens when you adjust the contrast and brightness?

PS It's the head-gasket. £400-£500. I could buy another 75 for £1000

It applies to flatpanel computer monitors, laptops, etc.
