Headlight deflectors for overseas driving.
Does anyone have an OEM pair of these?
I would like to know if you can peel off the black sections that are stuck to the perspex covers? Can anyone advise please? Last edited by 129c; 24th February 2016 at 11:15.. |

I had a pair of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/HEADLAMP-DEF.../dp/B007T7SIRO
which worked ace, I have seen some people do it with insulation tape.

the answer is no, they can't - at least if they can it's not obvious. I wasn't specifically looking to see if they could be peeled off though. Not sure why you'd want to though. If you just want some headlight protectors then they are/ were and accessory that does come up from time to time. Besides the deflectors are only for the (non projector) dipped beams, leaving the mains unprotected.

I had a set, and they're definitely painted on, rather than tape.

I know it's a painful thought, but is it not cheaper (and probably easier) to "just" buy a replacement headlight if needed? They can be picked up for <£20 on eBay... (Unless yours has projector headlights)

It would be mate if I wasn't a hoarder of OEM accessories for the 75. These continue to elude me and its giving me the hump lol. I did find a set in Australia the other day online only for them to tell me they had lost them in the warehouse so they cancelled the order! However, I know Fraser has got a set in his shed somewhere which he needs to find for me asap please lol |

Like I said already you'd only be able to protect the outer lenses (dippd beam on reflectors) anyway. I haven't even tried to fit mine yet but I doubt they'd fit the inner lenses as well. (but then you'd need two sets!) Just keep a watched search on the Ebay and ask around the traders for them to keep an eye open for a set of proper protectors.
