Drove my ZT to South Shields, to look at a poorly none starting diesel ZT.

So what do we reckon was the problem???? the repair required the use of a garden cane, a replacement DDE4 and T4

Oh and it was hoying it down with sleety rain, and the car was on a busy main road too

Another saved from the knackers yard

Not a shaby day

- Fixed the battery going empty within 48 hours (turned out it wasn't empty at all, just bat contact at the pole. Easy fix)
- Fixed the under bonnet lights that had come loose
- Fixed a dirty exterior and interior
- Replaced a broken brake sensor at the front
- Fixed the subwoofer cutting out at random times
- Fixed the parking camera cutting out at random times
- Cleaned the key fob
- Drove it around town and enjoyed it

Had the dreaded click when firing the wafter up today, So with snow on my hat I have removed the starter motor for a referb. Found the connector on the in feed very loose so not making a good electrical connection.

Did successfully Jum`s mod - additional button for Cruise Control steering wheel controls - the RES one.
This additional button has two cables. Soldered one to the Red, another to the Yellow cables going out from CC mini circuit electric board behind the buttons. There are three of them - the Blue one is responsible for the "+" function.
Will experiment with the second additional button for the "+" CC function later on.

Thanks to Jim`s personal help through PM`s

Fitted a new nearside rear brake pipe, found the source of one of my rumbly/bumpity/bump noise (rear offside wheelbearing worn), found another, (tank squeeky noise when pushing up on it from underneath).
Removed front discs to true up in my lathe (thanks mintex), ordered new front shocks, track rod end, anti toll bar rod gaiters, strut bearings and isolators.
Tomorrow need to replace offside front brake pipe that'll be fun...
