When I bought the V8 I went to a T4 operator (won't mention names!) for a 2nd key. He had problems getting the car to speak to the T4 and eventually the car had a hissy fit and did the "swap the window switches" trick. He phoned Brian, call took quite a while as during most of it Brian was laughing so hard he couldn't talk!

Brians departure has confirmed my own, I was on the fence as to continue with ZT ownership or not but now he's gone it has definitely swayed my decision to not get my car through the next MOT.

He's helped a lot in my short time, who else would come around at 10pm at night to help you out? Not many I can tell you

Brian vs a man who's quite handy with a bucket and sponge.......... who's going to get you to work in the morning?

Neither should leave however

Default Been away for a week and on return now feel gutted

Only this week Brian helped me out.

He agreed to swap the guts of my damaged key pad into a new empty pad just for the price of the postage, key returned pronto all fixed. Magic bloke!

Cool

If anyone needs to contact Brian for advice or you need work there are a few members who have his phone number. I expect he will still be glad to help out.

Brian decided to leave on his own accord. I for one expect he will be back at some point.

To be a true Enthusiast you must open your wallet to extortionist garages and pay top price. If you have a passion for for the marquee but shallow pockets do not apply.

Brian has told the forum publicly that he has a lot of work on for September so won’t be around. He has not been banned or bannished. As we all know Brian can be a very helpful individual, as we also know he can be an abrasive and often unsympathetic contributor to some members threads. Club rule 1 is there for all to observe Brian included.

1. You should remain courteous and respectful to other users of the forums at all times. You may obviously not agree with some views but do not let it descend into arguments or abuse, either publicly or via the Private Messaging (PM) facility. If you consider a post to be offensive then you should report it, not take matters into your own hands.

Providing he can follow the rules as everyone else should, I see no reason why he shouldn’t or couldn’t carry on posting as a great help to others. If that’s something he isn’t able to do, that’s a great shame, but the club was a great resource before he arrived and has had a huge number of valued contributors before and since.

Thread closed as it’s a continuation of previous ones on the subject.
