Default bonnet release safety lever

Hi.
Was wondering if any one can help me with a problem of the bonnet safety release lever that pops out of the front grill of my 75, or does not in this case. I have inspected the housing and it appears that the spring that cotols the movement of the lever has gone!! I can reach the lever with a liitle hook and open the bonnet, but was hoping to replace the spring . Does any one know the size of the spring, and how to fit it?
Regards Ron

You don't really need that lever Ron. Pop the bonnet with the interior release lever then just put your fingers in the resultant gap and push the catch inwards. That's how those of us with meshed grilles do it.

Chad.

Though the lever is a much more dignified method of doing so, of course.

Both mine were like that and a good spray with WD40 and plenty of wiggling they seem OK for now and I`m able to use them instead of poking around with a screwdriver
