Default Am I right in thinking there is no 100% cure for a lined IPK?

My old car has developed 4 lines. I've read about heatguns and flat irons and sticky backed foam to fix but I notice mine disappear when the temperature rises.

So as your average joe with no electronics know how, wouldn't some sort of tiny electric blanket on the ribbon maintaining 20 degrees or so fix it?

Only problem with that is what if you needed 21*C for all the lines to clear or if it only needed 19*C and the extra melts everything.

Isn't it also correct that our own Pete already offers a repair service for that problem?
Or is it another trader you wish to undermine and stamp all over their business as he's part of the 'CARTEL'

Come on I'm hardly going to make a roaring trade selling tiny electric blankets
I've got a problem on my car as many others do and reading up on it it appears there is no 100% fix.The ribbon is no longer in production and can only be "helped".

But I'm a fresh pair of eyes,I see things differently to most people.

Pete may look at this and know straight away that there is some resistor or led that could do the trick.
I DONT know I'm just throwing it out there.

I'm sorry Shaun, I don't follow... What's this about heating a display?

Of course you are
Pete has solved a problem which he advertises on here for peeps and you seem to want to get involved and undermine just as you did with the T4 gurus on here offering remaps!

I'll wait my turn with bated breath

Just the ribbon to the display, from what I've read it starts to breakdown with age but can be revitalised with heat. So as mine is fixing itself daily when it warms up it seemed to me that if 20 degrees could be maintained then it would be fixed.
I just see the simplicity in things.
