I have "done" a few diesels but only as a performance enhancement on non-turbo engines. I would be very reluctant to do a turbo as it is only too easy to over-cook it. (Don't ask.)
Best one was for a neighbour with a one tonne non turbo pick-up. The first time he had ever overtaken another vehicle was when he drove it away from me. That was about 4 years ago now, still going strong.
I would only do a turbo engine in the unlikely event that I obtained a cheap diesel tourer rather than a cheap petrol one.- (I shall be looking for a tourer later this year.)

As posted elsewhere Bernard I was told not to do a LPG conversion on mine by LPG Company.
They said uneconomical and not suitable for my engine and Mods.

Good to find an ethical company. I know of some that would have just done it.

I take it that you are only talking about diesel turbos.

Most disappointing I was hoping this might be a 'good idea'...

Well, I'm not saying it isn't, just that I would not do it to someone else's car, without an indemnity, as it's scary how much increase in power is possible.

Surely by keeping the amount of lpg mixed down to say 10-15% it would be possible to have the benefits without damaging reliability?

Yes, it's the practicality of guaranteeing that ratio that is my issue with it. I did revert to my real job and started to design and develop a hi-tech system for trucks, to do just that about 5 or 6 years ago. I decided that I was too long in the tooth to invest so much time and effort for it. Pity really, I had some good ideas and I was going to make it my swansong.
