guess what ?
passed mot today with just a rubber exhaust mounting needing replacing then drove home and though that's good no problems to sort out .so decided to pull bonnet release and nothing just slack .help required with the release method please

Work on the 1.8T New pads &cs all round, Bonnet Catch Reversed, Plenums Cleaned, Renewed Selected Radiator Hoses, New Stainless Steel Twin Exhaust,Metal T-Piece, Head Skimmed and MLS Head Gasket, New Cambelt & Alternator Belt, New PRT & Water Pump, New Air Duct Hose, New Radiator, New plugs, coil packs & HT leads, Golden Radiator Resistor. Car then blew up and I gave up. Bought the ZT 190 instead ! |

bonnet cable problems
Hi everyone the car has shown the awkward side of its personality again this time the cable control for the bonnet has come adrift and no matter what i do i cannot get it to release has anybody got any ideas how to get the bonnet open without damaging the car many thanks

i think the special instructions only work if the cable from the lever in the footwell has "snapped", not if one of the 2 cables that runs across the front of the slam panel have snapped. That's a new trick that is needed when that happens
