Facepalm moment at garage.
Well that was embarrassing as hell.
Drive too garage too get petrol fill up pay up and off we go that's how it normally done. No no no this is my version of events. Drive too garage pull lever too open fuel filler cap. 12 attempts later of getting the beeping thing too open, while swearing and cursing the thing. In the end had too jam it with a old key I had and force it too open. Then fill up, pay up and off we go. Anyone had moment like these.

Not me, honest! but my mate was test riding a Triumph Speed Triple, when, feeling rushed and mithered about time and getting back to the shop, he accidentally shoved a load of diesel in it! Called me and asked if bikes ran on diesel! Proper brain dead moment as he had been riding 40+ years, but just forgot what fuel bikes take!
Turned into a costly test ride! |

Borrowed my son in law's Alfa some years ago when the 75 was off the road temporarily, and went to fill it up for him prior to handing it back.
Took forever to work out how to open the fuel cap, and in a blonde moment (I can say that as pre-grey I was blond), I drove off without paying. It was somewhat embarrassing when said son in law presented me with a letter from Hertfordshire Police...........

Poor Davey, and you thought your Probe was all sorted.
Many moons ago I had a MZ 250 that had a blocked breather hole in the fuel cap.

Face palm moment at garage...
The missus asked to borrow my ZT-T, to pick up a large item from a shop. "Sure" I said, "but you'll need to put fuel in it, it's a bit low". She had to resort to looking in the handbook to work out how to open the filler, because it didn't have the little lever to open it like my ZS.........
