Default *Group Buy* KV6 Timing Belt Kits with INA Tensioner and Dayco Belts, inc WP - £134.99

Well, we've been meaning to do this for a while - we had a lot of interest last time we did this a couple of years ago.

We've managed to strike a deal for the KV6 Timing Belt Kits again - the kit includes:
- Long front cambelt (Dayco)
- Cambelt tensioner (Genuine INA, Rover OE supplier)
- Cambelt idler (Genuine SAIC MG)
- 2x rear cambelts (Dayco)
- Genuine SAIC MG waterpump (tried and tested in over 300 kits)

We've managed to get the price down to a fantastic £134.99 plus postage -
usually £159.99.

Order here: KV6 Timing Belt Kit - Group Buy

Please remember this is a Group Buy, we need to place an order for at least 25 to qualify for this pricing.
I estimate (based on last time) this will take us to between mid to late July.

If we don't reach the numbers needed by the end of July, I'll put the order in anyway myself and keep the remaining kits for stock.

Conti were on mine and were replaced by Conti . Dayco are good also, along with Gates.

Perfect timing! (See what I did there). I'll move some money about and put an order in.

They are in our opinion - we prefer Dayco to Gates, as Dayco were involved with the development of the KV6 timing belt system.
IMO, they'd know what's best!

As above, Dayco were involved in the creation of the belt system in our cars, so I'd put the OE manufacturer above an aftermarket offering.

Conti, Dayco and Gates are all good brands, and will do the job.

Quote from Wiki:
'The system was a joint development between Dayco (belt supplier) and Rover.'

We'll stick to Dayco, the original belts are known to last very well, as are the original tensioners.
From memory the tensioners in the Gates kits are made by Gates - and while I have a lot of respect for their parts (we sell a lot!) I'm happier with the OE manufacturer, INA, being combined with the OE belts.
If the MG Rover branded KV6 waterpumps were still made by the OE, I'd love to have them too - but alas, not.

I would say most certainly or the MGR ones below is a link that was started a while back on belts etc being interchangeable

I used gates on FL2 and I know a few members at the nano have used them on their MGZT/Rover V6 I used MG Rover on mine last time, this time round I may opt for Gates if the price is competitive, or go with what I had previous.

I also had the thermostat changed at the same time.

Decent price from above though with water pump included.
It took a lot of beating to get the price down to this level - I think the Euro vs. £ rate has impacted things, as Dayco belts are made in Italy.
Joys of the current political situation...
