Cool

Banana currently has a multi layered one fitted. No idea of the make. Was fitted by MJS about 3 years ago. Replaced after the radiator split. Mike said he wanted to check the head gasket as a precaution.

Renewed in 2016 - pre remap - Landrover MLS gasket - i also had a Hans gauge fitted - great piece of kit - both by Trikey. Remapped ECU been in place for just over a year - no evidence of overheating.

When i spoke to the Kmaps folk - the guy i spoke to said he was the guy who was the original designer of the Engine/ECU - the ZT/75 turbo K4 was built for 200 -205 BHP and was limited by BMW so as not to out compete the BMW 3 i and the MG 190/Rover V6. I asked him about stories of engine blow up - answer - only when guys try and fit the upgraded ECU into unsuitable vehicles like a ZR. Best thing is if you are interested is to give Kmaps a call .

The guy at KMAPS also said they were working on remapping a ZT1.8T to 270 BHP - but obviously needs a load of additional work on the engine/breaks etc.

I'm undecided r.e the K-Maps remap - I've read of folks (on here) having a negative experience with this "Off the Shelf" remap - with some reverting back to the Original Tune

I may need to try for myself

I do think it would be a better option to have a Live remap done tailored to my Car specifically - Given my 75 is now 16 years old and with the Couple of changes I have made i'm sure it would yield better results - Not focusing on Peak Power - I've heard "200bhp on tap" referenced "On Tap" ? not really how it works tho is it ? - Rather "Potential to make 200bhp" i'm no expert....

there was a member on here from a company in Manchester if i remember correct - they seem to know these Cars and appear to know what they are doing - I can't remember the Company Name and I haven't heard of any experiences of their service - Interesting tho (and from memory around £160 for a Rolling Road Live Remap)

The member you are referencing is "Civilsteve" who is part of the Manchester Set up - all i would say is the likes of Marinabrian and Big Russ et al all advise Kmaps ass the place to go for a remap. Its worked a treat for me -saying that my engine is a good one.
