Old duffer
I know I'm getting on bit but I have a conundrum within an enigma , I'm going to change my battery a 10yr old Bosch . Should be simple a new battery has the same numbers as the original but the terminals are transposed + terminal to the front as they all seemed to be . Help please !

its the wrong battery then John
You also need to make sure its the correct height as some are too tall for the cover to fit back on.

The battery needed is a 096 John.
I would recommend what I have fitted currently to my own car, a Bosch S4 008. I have this battery on all of my diesel models and petrol alike, fits the battery box perfectly and are of decent enough quality, to withstand both constant and occasional usage. Brian |

Viewed from above the terminations on both the S4 and S5 008 look like this, and are correct for the car John. Brian |
