Default Dampers.

First off, I was a bit slow thinking a front road spring gave a smooth ride over bumps, but it is of course, the dampers that even out the bumps. The springs are responsible for the ride height. I'm still confused about the numbers and colour codes (sticker under the back seat) There are hundreds of sellers on e-bay and other places offering springs/dampers etc for our cars. They just quote 'Rover 75 cdt/v6/1.8' or whatever. Is there really any point in delving into colour codes and pairs of numbers?
