Default accessing digital speeddometer

Both my diesels have a highline set of clocks. One set is a replacement and I can access the digital speedo, the other I assume is original but does not
display the digital speedo, I think it has an alarm when a preset maximum speed is exceeded.

Does the digital speedo need T4 activation?

thank you

Don't think T4 can activate the digital speedo but TOAF certainly can, I've done about five or six local cars. (BMW scanner can activate it too).

Regards

Ian and Mike,

It can be done with T4. I've had it activated on my car.

I ran the anti malware this afternoon (had enough of it reminding me) and it kicked the ipk software completely into touch.

T4 cannot activate digital speedo, it will remove it when it sees that the instrument pack eeprom checksum is incorrect during any dealer option changes though

I can be installed with third party software such as Phil's toolkit, TOAF, or BMW Scan 1.4 and editing the required byte of information

Rick won't be able to help, he's just passing the link on. When Phil first made his IPK software available (over 3 years ago!) a lot of people had problems with some part of it being recognised (falsely) as a virus. The only way you'll get it to open is by telling your antivirus to ignore it. As I already had the BMW scanner software I didn't pursue it.
