Trevor I too would like to offer my words of support to you and Anne at this time. It must be very difficult and I can only echo what others have said.

Fingers crossed a treatment plan is effective in combatting her illness, and you are both in our thoughts.

Hi.
Well this might be the last post on this thread. Today we saw the Oncologist from the Beatson in Glasgow. The news was harrowing, the tumour on the Large Bowel is actually not that big being at its most 25mm but the Metastasis onto the liver is large with many lesions and very aggressive. Anne is on the borderline of whether its treatable or not. The deciding issue is her strength and health to accept the Fluorouracil Chemo. It is felt that as she has deteriorated so fast that Chemo would make her more ill and possibly end her life even quicker.
End of life Palliative care is now being organised by Ayr Hospice nursing care and this will be done at home. She required a lot of help an hour ago to get upstairs this evening and it is unlikely she will be fit enough to venture down again.
Very sad indeed and hard to come to terms with.

So so sorry Trevor, not what anyone wanted to hear. You know we're here if you need someone to talk to.

This is so unfair. Good innocent people being struck down with this horrible horrible disease, yet so many evil wicked people still walk amongst us. I am truly lost for words Trevor.

You will be in good hands with the team from Ayrshire Hospice.

So sorry to hear such awful news. Words can only be the comfort we can offer. Stay strong.

I have held off writing, we went through this last year with my sister in law 59 years of age. She had seven wonderful months with her son and her two grandsons.
A time that the boys will remember for the rest of their life’s a good time though a bad outcome.
I wish all the best to you and your family, live for the moment, and make good memories while still able
Will be thinking of you during this testing time
Alan
