Collected the ZT I bought on Ebay that I’d sold 4 years ago pleasantly surprised at the condition andsome of the mods I’d done including (except the drivers cup holder which is going on eBay don’t see the fascination for them).

Default What I did today on my MGZT

Well I finally got round to pressure washing my ZT, waxed the car, cleaned the alloys and valeted the interior, even gave under the bonnet a bit of a spruce up. Shattered now and back killing me but so pleased with the result, not bad for a 15 year old MGZT CDTI Auto 2004.

It is the 11th of a total of 88 Goodwood Green diesel facelift ZT saloons to be built (there were 65 facelift diesel Goodwood Green ZT Tourers built too)The car was the 55th of 73 MG ZTs to come off the line that day.5 saloons were fitted with Green Alcantara, this was the first of those 5, only two were automatics, this being one.

Well, It looks like I will finally be an MG ZT owner.
I have been working on buying a ZT from my friend Jess, who is a Rover guy and who has been looking at slimming down his collection.
We towed the ZT to my place yesterday and it is now safely tucked away in my garage where it will be getting some TLC.
The car is in great shape inside and out with only a couple of minor cosmetic issues, a bit of bumper damage and wheels in need of a respray.
Mechanically it needs the usual work, thermostat and a pair of VIS motors so far.
The car is a solar red 2002 ZT190. Left hand drive with a five speed manual.

Absolutely thrilled!

I see that some members have their cars stats listed in their sig lines.
Where is the best place to get this info. (I have tried searching the forum with no luck)

More pics to follow later today.

Default What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT Today

Hi Rev, Thank you for your kind words. When I pressure wash under the bonnet, which I do not do that often. I always start the car and leave it ticking over, it being a diesel it happily runs whilst I'm pressure washing. I keep away from the vents above the plenum chambers, usually lay a towel over them as I do not want to drown the ECU. I usually give the inner wings a quick blast and not to much around the battery box or fuse box. Most of my cleaning under bonnet is done by hand with plenty of rags. Auto Glym bumper shine is really good for all the black plastic parts under the bonnet, it cleans the dust and grime and leaves a waterproof coating on the black stuff.
regards,
Paul (Guardian50)
