Default How to take front doors off

Well it has finally stopped raining....

I want to fit a Loom for Power-fold mirrors. I understand that I need to take the doors off, which is the easier way.

There is a Circlip? at the top, does that just pull off or it there a special way it comes off.

Thanks

Dom

Two circlips top and bottom hinge, remove by use of a small screwdriver sliding the "C" backwards.
Once you have removed the two clips, with assistance lift the door clear, then unplug the multiplug on the a pillar, which is of the sliding lock type.

And if you're doing it on your own I found lifting the door with a hydraulic jack worked well

Reverse into the garage while you leave the passenger door open.

Great for taking it off. Not so good if you want to put it on again afterwards.

Tip:
Wind window down a little just enough to get your fingers in to lift the door on and off BEFORE you disc the electrics

C clips are also known as Jesus clips.

....as in "Jesus! Where did that go" when they spring off.
