MG Rover thought the undertray was a good idea, they didn't even do away with them during the height of Project Drive.

With the proper fixings they stay put.

You must have your own car inspection pit, or maybe your own 4 tonne 2 post car lift, and obviously endless supplies of bolts & clips.

as I said a second ago, unfortunately mine didn't, and that was using the fixings from DMGR's

Have the OEM tray & fittings, never had a problem with either the tray or fittings. Five minutes to remove and put back.

Be thankful your cars don't need them! Mine does however it is well secure! When I had Sara my '75 I visited my local BMW dealer and asked for the short male turnbuckle and female thingy that said turnbuckle goes into. Reasonable price and next day delivery! They are for the E39 5 series undertray.

I'd need a new tray now anyway, having already paid for 2 I don't fancy 3. I'm glad so many of you have no trouble with them, I can only assume this is a typical example of me being incapable of the simplest of things.

All I know is i am not throwing more money away again on a new tray, since this one is ruined and has no fixing holes left, and is barely hanging on with cable ties now at the back. Thanks for your posts, but please forgive me if I don't read any more as frankly I feel pig sick at the money I've just thrown away yet again.
