I think this is a little overpriced for a rolling road day (where the garage knows they are going to be earning a guaranteed pretty penny for a couple of hours work).

Also, I hate most things VAG, and most of the people I come across who seem to drive them these days, and don't really want to attend a VAG specialist with her majesty, put my hard-earned in their pockets, and then have to listen to them belittle our Rovers and smugly preach about how wonderful their TDI's are etc...

Tis a shame, but rolling road days should be max £25 per car.

Thanks to those who've helped, providing advice and info, supplying/manufacturing parts, even fitting things for me!

It took me a long time to learn that you cannot please 100% of people 100% of the time.

I did spend quite a few hours of my time ringing around, emailing and making sure that the venue was a good one, in a similar location to our regular meets. I did manage to get the price down to £35 from £35+vat.

Seeing as I do not make anything from this, nor do I get paid for my time, perhaps I should have spent it with my wife and daughter instead.

I think people who aren't interested in going for whatever reason need not comment and keep their comments to themselves. For the many people who are and want to attend it puts a dampener on it, and especially offends the person/people who have gone to some effort to organise the event, especially as it has to be done in their own time (and own cost with phone bills, time, etc.).
I'd like to thank you Rich for organising this, and can you please put me down for it?

G'morning Rich,
great effort to get this event organised! Once you have the minimum (10) quota, all paid, would it be ok for anyone else to turn up on the day and pay?
Its because i'd attend, but dont know from day to day if my health allows me out.

Eric

It would be great to see you there Eric, the venue has asked me to prebook and prepay for all attendees. I have sent you a PM.

I might know someone wanting to tag along. I take it they can cater for rwd cars?

Rik.

Wow - a front wheel drive Veyron. That would be something!

I presume, if it's a 1000 bhp RR, then it will be adjustable for wheelbase and take 4WD cars?

Your friend is more than welcome, they still need to book and pay in advance through me however.

FWD and RWD are the same, you just drive on the opposite way

Yes they are offering 4WD runs if you know someone who is interested, the price is £45 for the 4WD run though.

Doesn't matter Bob. If they drive on the wrong way they just do the test in reverse.

I'd love to turn up in a Stalwart.
