Anyone tried these bulbs ?
Sounds a good idea let people know your just about to make a reverse maneuver anyone tried them? Could they cause a dash warning ?

I am pretty certain that they will cause a Bulb Failure Warning. And not on;y that but looking at the design I reckon it won't reflect the light correctly.

Reading the Owners Handbook, it states that HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT, FRONT FOG LIGHTS, SIDE REPEATER LIGHTS AND "REVERSING LIGHTS" are not covered by the bulb warning system.
so from that you should be OK. (page 81 2004 Rover 75 Handbook ) |

I had these fitted. Reasonable high pitched sound but not a great light output.

And I remember specifically because it was the very first time I had a Bulb Failure Notice come up...

I have had these fitted for around 3 years now. Still working, no warnings of any kind. Light output seems the same as normal bulbs, as they are the same wattage.

I guess you could wire up a simple 12v beeper in parallel and put it in the lamp case. That way, it wouldn't compromise the lights. A continuous monotone beep might be a bit naff tho'. I wonder if you can get an autonomous beep-beep-beep type?

I still have these in my shed. I should really fit them on my tourer as I've got blinds fitted and visibility isn't the best. It's a camera ans sensors I need really!
They don't show any warning on the dash btw.
