Heavy Clutch Pedal
Hi Guys Im New To This Forum Hello To All Of You .....
Hi Just Bought My First Mgzt Cdti 2003 Model And Noticed That The Clutch Pedal Is Heavy I Dont Know If They All Are But Never Had One Before So Wouldn Know Also The Bitting Point Of The Clutch Is About One Inch From The Bottom Of The Floor Is This Normal ? Or Can It Be Ajusted ?as I Said Its My First Mg So All Help Would Be Good It Might Be That All Are The Same Some Help Would Be Gr8 Thanks |

welcome to the club matey.....i have a 2.0-v6 the clutch is quite heavy on that too only had it for 4 months still not got use to it yet . mine bites about 4-5 inches from the floor. sorry cant help any more but your in the right place for answers...........

I always thought the lower to the floor the better. Mine is (was) only about an inch from the floor, but it's currently having teh master/slave/clutch unit investigated so maybe not the best example!!!!
And yes a heavy clutch on a diesel is normal.

thanks for the reply guys im going to have a look into bleeding the clutch as its a wee bit notchy first thing in the morning but no slipping and plenty of clutch so ill go look into bleeding it thanks

Mine has done just over 79000 so if you've got to 104 on the original clutch assembly I'd say that was good going!! However if you've just bought the car you don't want to be doing such a big job.
Hopefully a bleed will sort it out. Good luck!!!!
