Talking New purchase....

Took delivery of my Black Leather Steering Wheel as the one I have in my Rover is a pretty worn perforated ZT type, not that I don't like them, it's just that I thought black Rover one would look better as it is well, a Rover and it will match the other black leather And I do have the Black Facelift Airbag...

But at closer inspection I have noticed that the Part Number on it is only listed for the Rover V8/MG-ZT260...!!! P/N# QTB001270PPH http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID004186

So now I have a V8 Exhaust AND a V8 Steering wheel!!! How cool is that!! (Now where can I get an Engine....lol). I wish!

When I have fitted it I will post a couple of photo's, but in the meantime, here it is!

How quaint to see people indulging in that old fashioned pastime called "queuing for petrol."

What was that, my diesel loveliness? Oh yes, mmmmmmm mmmm mmmmm indeed!

Went to the garden centre to pick up a bag of building centre and got a polite rollocking from an elderly gent as I was placing it in the boot. "Hey my son, that's not the way to treat a nice Rover 75" he says. Turns out he had a rather pretty 75 himself, Club spec, on the other side of the carpark and it was his second 75. Prior to that he told me he had an XJ but preferred the Rover so was on the lookout for a Connie. He'd never heard of the owners' club so I made sure he got all the details, and I told him about the next nanomeet as he had a small job needing doing. There are some really nice people driving these cars I must say.

For what it's worth, I don't make a habit of putting sandbags in my Connie, it was a one-off. That's what the wife's car is for, right?

Don't know, just drove it to work like every other day.
It's a car and needs to drive.

In the weekend I'll treat it to new sill plates at the back and the it's back to normal.

Driving to work

Fitted the V8 Steering wheel today whilst there is a break in the weather...

Just a shame, which I did not notice before, (or informed of) that there had been a crude cut-out made to fit a Cruise Control Controller and obviously removed... Of course not blindingly obvious, but one just knows there is a gaping hole...

(If anyone has one sitting around unwanted and feels like throwing it my way it would be appreciated, not that I have Cruise but to fill the gap).

Anyway, I think an improvement over the Perforated ZT Wheel as it matches the Airbag.

A couple of photo's:

Thanks for looking.....

Fitted the under bonnet fuel pump, all went to plan, apart from removing the battery tray, one of the screws took ages to get moving

Still, saved myself a few quid by doing it at home

Refitted rear drivers door card properly which has cured an annoying rattle. Shame door doesn't unlock with remote but hardly ever have anyone in that seat anyway.
