Red face Air bag fault light. MGZT

Had the warning light come on and stay on on my 2004 MGZT Auto etcetc. looked under the seat (memory/electric) found small yellow connector, undid it,switch cleanered it.did it up, not change! Then saw a similar connector- or half of one lurking among the cables and whatever to the nearside of the seat. Had a good look and found what looked like the other half not far away. Examined connectors construction and saw they were male/female so took a chance, connected and now all is as it should be. This took a lot longer to do than this post did as anyone over 80years will know so it was with the ancients in the club I post this. Chris S.

The two connectors, one is the airbag, the other is the seat belt pretensioner, a problem with either will bring the light up.
