Will be good to see you again John. Will add you to the list.
I have carried out some more research on the Stonehouse revamp. It seems to be the usual Marketing interference, justifying their existence. Their original revamp Pub, MillFarm at Cannock still does Breakfast at £4.29 all you can eat.
I imagine we will have a few teething problems but the revamp may be for the better.

Hi Alan,

Will be great to meet you. Are you having Breakfast?
Just seen you beat me to it. Ignore my PM. I am a slow Keyboard Warrior.

Hi - apologies for the short notice - hope to be there tomorrow in the V8 - my trip to Ramsgate got cancelled. Will be having breakfast if it is not too late to book.

Thanks

Tony

Hi Peter,
Very many thanks for organising this morning's meet - it was great and I did like the breakfast - particularly the sausages!! - I will be back !!

and Jules - You and Caroline were missed but we do understand !!

and to all that were at the met this morning and very kindly gave their expert views as the cause of the whine on my car - very many thanks.

You did very firmly put my mind at rest as regards the gearbox and having checked on the forum, it seems that the bearing in the tensioner on the alternator belt may be the cause. At least others have had that problem and I suspect that perhaps the belt was over tightened when the belt was replaced reasonable recently but before my ownership. I propose to live with the whine for now and when I get a chance test each bearing in turn with WD40.

I will be away for a while from the end of the week so I will sign of now hoping that all goes well for each of you until we meet again.

Kind regards, James

Peter - thanks for organising this morning - my first meeting as a club member - really enjoyed it. And the V8 did not use too much fuel on its return trip from Canary Wharf - every litre was worth it!

Cheers

Tony

What a great meet yesterday, thanks to the stalwart regulars who return time and time again. Plus we had the benefit of four newbies, Bluemalbert (Malcolm) Rovehappy (James) Cally 3 (Alan) and Ozjenson (Tony)
As Heckfield has moved to 20th November, due to Remembrance Sunday, I will organise another meet at Ruislip for 4th December instead of 27th November.
Please let me know your preferred date.
Whichever date I/We chose we may only have 7 days between meets.
Should the weather forecast be for Rain or Snow then Mike24 has made a marvellous offer, provided he is given a weeks notice, of the use of some large covered outbuildings at Bulstrode Park on the A40 near Gerrards Cross. (includes a pit facility for under inspection of cars)
Breakfast may just be Cereal and Toast. Save us from ourselves (me in particular) from overindulging before Xmas.
