Hi,
Bit of a game really.
For the surround I made a template out of smooth card (which is not that easy) as you have to take into account, the bends above and below the number plate area. I had four pieces of stainless bar which I shaped on a mill, polished and then got a friend to weld into the square(ish) shape also tacking four stainless countersink bolts to the back to attach to the bumper.
All the best, Simon.

You have done a sterling job, that cannot be denied, all credit to the work you have put in. But for the relatively small extra cost, the MG7 surround would look far superior on a ZT, pic below is a prime example. You are soon to see another

I bought a 10cm square piece of stainless on Ebay for £3.99 and marked it out into an octagon shape, cut out on the mill at work and chamfered the edges with a 45 degree cutter and fixed to the bumper with two stainless countersunk bolts, the badge was a resin domed stick on straight off Ebay in varying sizes. I might get a slightly bigger one to satisfy my curiosity!!
All the best, Simon.

Thanks for that,
I like the yellow, it's unusual.
MG7 surround looks good too.
I'm intrigued, how much did your plastic one cost and where do we buy those from?
Simon.

I think the next question is.....how much is the Chinese surround and how much to make *Zimons* ? I think *Zimon* may become a popular member

Thanks Terry,
I'd love to do more of these, but don't have the time at the moment.
Cheers, Simon.
