You asked how long was I off work. It was down to the surgeon and Physio, plus my own efforts. The op was done through key hole surgery under GA, one night in hospital and discharged home at 9 a.m the next day. Physio had me walking the next day with a crutch and pain killers. As I worked for the NHS, I was on sick pay and did not rush back to work until I had recovered 100%. The wife thinks it could be bursitis,she used to be a medical secretary. I doubt it will be a torn tendon,as I have free movement in my knee, it's just tenderness in the soft tissue. I wear knee pad trousers for work, but have had to remove the left pad,as it's rubbing on my knee and doing more harm than good.
