I think it was the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. He is back working as normal now, said his hip gave a crunch and has been improving since. Told the doc if it ever happens again he won't be bothering him, he'll see a chiropractor!

You asked how long was I off work. It was down to the surgeon and Physio, plus my own efforts. The op was done through key hole surgery under GA, one night in hospital and discharged home at 9 a.m the next day. Physio had me walking the next day with a crutch and pain killers. As I worked for the NHS, I was on sick pay and did not rush back to work until I had recovered 100%. I had an active job working and running around in the community hospital and on the air ambulance doing medivacs....3 months everything was back to normal.

The surgeon who did my bypass, told me that one of his colleagues does total knee replacements as day cases. Clearly procedures have improved since my knee op back in 1998
The wife thinks it could be bursitis, she used to be a medical secretary. I doubt it will be a torn tendon,as I have free movement in my knee, it's just tenderness in the soft tissue. I wear knee pad trousers for work, but have had to remove the left pad,as it's rubbing on my knee and doing more harm than good.

Good Morning everyone, The rain arrived last night, the heavy downpour woke me up at 4am, I should have gone outside to sit in it to cool off

Drizzling still and a nice bit fresher
