Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

Dark gloomy skies & heavy showers here, Going to be a ASDA Chinese ping meal for tea tonight.

The cats have followed me upstairs for a catnap whilst I drive some trains.

Morning all, It's a grey day & spitting with rain here, The decking needs power washing ready for weather proofing now that I've finished replacing rotten boards but I'm still sore from that fall, I'll see how I feel after some black pudn & beans on toast for brekkie.

Morning all, a dull start to the day here too, carrying on with the service on the boat engine, it's not just 75 bolts that give you grief, salt water steel and aluminium are not a good mix!

Managed to remove the bolt last night, thankfully there was enough shaft to grab with mole grips, a little heat and it came out OK.

After waiting in for a British Gas boiler service last week, only to be told that they weren't coming (boiler cupboard and airing cupboard all cleared and then had to be put back!!!), we got another appointment for yesterday between 12 and 6pm. He turned up at 10 to 6 and was done in about 40 minutes. He checked the CO levels with his "wand" and sprayed the fan and the diverter valve with lube oil - nowt else! No cleaning of the boiler innards. Never even took the inner covers off. I've seen previous services so many times that I could almost write the book and he didn't do it! He spent about 25 minutes on his computer!

I've had a look online and it seems that if the CO levels are OK, they (British Gas) don't do anything any more!

I've always had a British Gas service contract because they have always done a good job, with no expense spared. I may change now because I can get a local plumber to do a "full" service at a fraction of the price I'm paying now.

Have a good day folks. Sunny here at present, so off for a walk by to the beach.

I can recommend ACF50 sprays and greases for those types of environments. ( if it's good enough for aircraft carriers and all that!

Cool

Morning everyone.

We have rain, lots of it. With thunderstorms on the horizon.

Going to a new, well new to me, garden centre over into the dark side.
