Funny how an important historical date in British History gets largely forgotten yet everyone knows when American Independence Day is

Good efty! Gonna have a wee rant, had to go along to the shops and saw something that really infuriates me. Older woman with a young child, grabs the child by the arm and runs across the road in front of me at a gap in the traffic that wasn't really there, I had to brake quite sharpish, this took place about 10 yards away from a pedestrian crossing. I have no idea how old the child was, I'd guess 3 or 4. Impressionable age and the woman, I presume the Grannie, has just shown it that you don't need to bother with pedestrian crossings, just cross where you want to and you don't even need to wait for a gap in the traffic, just go for it! If, God forbid, the child gets knocked down in the future, who's to blame?

It's not just Grannies Steve - I see mothers and fathers doing it, both with school age children AND others in pushchairs, when I do the school 'run' (it's a walk actually!). I'd love to point out the error of their ways - but by the looks of some of them - I might get an unChristian response

Especially for Jeff

Sold by the Hungry Horse pub chain, The Double Donut burger consists of two beef burgers topped with cheese, four bacon rashers and BBQ sauce, sandwiched between two glazed ring-doughnuts. Advertised with the tag line "So Wrong It's Right", the Double Donut burger contains 53g of saturated fat, well above the 20g daily allowance for women and 30g allowance for men.
The amount of salt in it - 8.2g - is also more than the recommended daily amount for adults (6g).
Critics called it irresponsible, dubbing it "a heart attack on a plate".

That's useful to know.....not the artery clogging fat......the fact they are sold at Hungry Horse establishments
We have one just up the road called the 'Roaring Donkey'

I'll let you know how I get on ....all in the interests of furthering our culinary horizons here in the chill out zone

It will always be someone's else's fault Steve......Peeps no longer admit to anything being their own fault

It will be the poor child that suffers for the ignorance and stupidity of its adult peers

Afternoon Rod been dry all day here but a cold wind.

When you replay songs of praise, after about 3or 4 minutes they leave the church service and go to the cenataph in aldershot thats where you will see Derek and lillian on the left hand side.
Careful how you talk to Derek after that his trying to charege for auto graphs.
