as you say work to be done, primarily engine related as im convinced its blew a head gasket, once thats fixed or swapped then I can get it a good clean and a new tyre so the o/s/f wheel can go back on!

Absolutely no idea Ronnie, it wasnt fitted by the previous owner however could have been by the person before him? was apparantely a guy and wife who split up and the car then went into her name?

it was getting scrapped so I had to save it, however the guy had ripped out the kenwood head unit and cd player to sell seperately however I found them in the boot

oh and its got the genuine rubber footwell mats front and rear so thats the value of the car doubled lol

Although I fitted walnut to my ZT. It was an option you could have new if specified.

A dark red leather effect vinyl is available that i think might go nicely on that walnut trim.

Looks like a very nice car, once you've got to the bottom of the problems! I like the walnut dash, and reckon you'll have a great car at the end of it! At least if the worst comes to the worst, you can take the engine out of the Jap spec.

Looking good, even in unrestored condition. I'm loving the MG badge over the towing eye!

Thanks Gents, the MG badge on the towing eye is actually hiding a peeling front towing eye cover, looks like its taken a stone chip hit at one point so will need to get that one painted or source another
