T4 to tune a 116ps CDTI to 135ps
Morning all, I'm looking for someone with a T4 to up my, new to me, Saloon from 116 to 135.
I'm in the Manchester area, and being retired, traveling anywhere at anytime will be no problem. It's part of the saga of my 2005 Tourer with the misfire, unburnt fuel smoke and blue (oil) smoke at start up, which I'm now pretty sure could be cyl 3 bore/ring wear?. I now need to do a comp test ( I've got a comp tester ) and a bit reluctant at the moment to pull the heater plugs just in case one snaps so I'm going to see if I can adapt an old injector to do the comp test. I bought the Saloon so I could put the Tourer up on blocks and play with it, it would be a pity to scrap it, if it is what I suspect, the only option would be to acquire a good second hand engine and someone to fit it, to old to do that myself. Thanks in anticipation for any help and advice for someone with a T4 Cheers, Bill.

Thanks for that Gary, I hadn't thought of doing a search.

The upgrade isn't something every T4 operator can do, it was developed by a small group. You won't go wrong contacted Russ (BigRuss) over in Liversedge only about an hour away from you.

Stephen Abbott at SAWS Tuning is in Bolton if that's any help. He's done loads of mine and I wouldn't trust anyone else when it comes to Remaps. Also, David Tomlinson at North West Rover Repairs in Atherton, M23 specialises in 75s and ZTs

As already said Big Russ is your nearest. Terry Shaw of TS Autos also knows these cars inside out.

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions, I've left Russ a message on his answering machine. If he is busy I'll try one of the others. Thanks again Bill

Give Russ a bit of time to get back to you, like us all he has a life too, apologies if I sound sarcastic, but it's true we all have other things to attend too.
