But thought its time to get a smart telly after using them on holiday and finding that they suit my needs. Only gripe would be advert removel or th ability to fast forward them... ? Is there a away around these pesky adds?

Not sure I can really help you with adverts. I generally only watch Movies I stream from my media server (No ads at all) and live Tv which is the same issue for anyone. Obviously if you record live tv with something like a Humax box you can skip forwards to avoid them. Youtube there is little option but to watch the first few seconds b4 you can skip the ad. Just checked my Prime account and there doesn't seem to be any ads on any of the programmes i looked at but i don't have Netflix so not sure about that.
It's been a while since i worked in the store and was hands on with the new kit on a day to day basis as i now work from home as a rule but i'm not aware of any other ad issues with the current range of sets as i do still get to play with them when i do have to spend a day or two at my local store.

Ian,

Bang and Olufsen. It doesn't matter which screen size, the picture and sound will be amazing. You will also enjoy looking at it even when it's switched off.

The epitomy of style over substance. Picture quality is no better than the other premium sets out there that can be purchased at a fraction of the price and with the savings you will make a bespoke sound system will be vastly superior and you will still have money in pocket.

I upgraded earlier this year, I went from 55” to 65” and it’s a brilliant piece of kit. HD is a must but most channels are now available in HD format. We live in a house that’s just over 100 years old with reasonably sized rooms so doesn’t look out of place. I originally wanted to go 75” but my wife (rightfully) talked me out of it as it would of been too big. My advice would always be go as big a screen size as you possibly can, I don’t see myself as a chav either......

We had a Samsung (can't recall the size 36", 42"?), served well for years until it took a hissy fit. Tried to switch it on one day, crackling, fizzing and when a picture did appear it was like a seriously spaced out piece of '60s psychedelic art! At the time one of my wife's friends happened to be selling a 55" Sony Bravia so that replaced it.

After getting a great deal of "screen size" envy iv taken th plunge yesterday and ordered a new telly. Should be coming today. When i was young we had tv repairers visit many times before we eventually had a new second hand one. So iv now got a 10 year old plus anoloiuge LG free to a good home. Tried to pass it on to th grand kids so they can use it to game on but they already have one. Funny how things carnt be handed down anymore... Or am just old and boring!!!!
