Treat yourself Steve - https://www.porkpie.co.uk/shop/melton-mowbray-pork-pies

Nice meat pies - https://www.limetreepantryfoods.com/index.php or https://www.brocklebys.co.uk. Had fresh pies from both when visiting farmers markets over the years.

When my other half was working in the Lakes I'd float between here and there. Two butchers almost next door to each other. One did a variety of pork pies during the tourist season, the chilli pork pie was to die for

Nor me.

As a nipper I would eat just the pastry, with my dad getting the meat and jelly parts.

Nah, not up here Rev. Trouble is pork pies aren't so popular north of the border, its mince pies up here, ie a pie with minced beef in it. Only pork pies you can get up here are supermarket ones.

Cool

Morning Phil and fellow early risers.

Chucking it down with gale force winds.

Off to have my feet serviced this morning, then into the Post Office to collect a parcel.
