If your struts are that worn out that you have to hold the boot lid up, then they might not work in slowing the spring action down. If you can still feel some resistance when you lift the boot lid quickly then you should be ok. Hi could you put me down for option 1 please, I have a boot rack fitted so if it lifts that then all is well and if they don't the I can at least put them on my lst of mod's

Hi mate, i would be after option 2 and would be prepared to come to your house for you to do the swap over. Thus giving you the exchange units immediately.
