Post Handbrake Assy Gaiter - MR ZR / 25

Just wanted to ask if anybody has a Handbrake Assy Gaiter for a MG ZR MK2 Part No.: FJL000430PMA before I purchase one off eBay etc.

The ones on eBay say "Originally fitted to the MG 3 SW" ???

Hi Kwil

Thanks for the reply, but I should of said that mine has come away from the plastic that clips into the centre console so I need a complete new one as the leather just pulls off the clip and the clip is not tight enough in the console.

In the past I've had this scenario on Peugeots
Can you not remove the plastic frame and reattach the leather gator with staples or wire (small drill bit and a dremel required) then put a dab of epoxy or gripfill on the plastic clips and then refit the plastic frame to the console
Regards
Chris

Just to let you know, they might just send you the gaiter, expecting you to fit it to the plastic foot yourself.
This happened with me so I got some leather glue but am still psyching myself up to do the job. Holding it in place with quick release G clamps is a good idea.
I'm changing the gearstick gaiter too, the retaining spring clips broke off so I'm going to have to hope the glue sticks it properly to the plastic ring without them. Changing both from black to sandstone beige with a plastic walnut handbrake handle and I've also re-sprayed the chrome gearstick bottom trim antique gold
