We do a lot online now. We used to have several shopping trips a month, with the obligatory stop for coffee and a cake to keep your strength up! Add to that the cost of go juice for the motor and the "trips" were eating away at the savings! Covid stopped a lot of "popping out" and we noticed a rise in the bank balance! Shopping, for me, was not enjoyable (apart from the coffee and cake) so the new regime is a winner!

Yes totally agree, My missus hip is giving her grief in this cold weather & walking is painful so I've fallen for most of the shopping duties, The last half dozen times have been online & I'm liking it a lot.

Took something out to the bin, ain't happening, lid is frozen shut. Went to put a tin into the recycling box, nylon elasticated lid is frozen solid as well.

Bleedin' computer and printer have fallen out, not speaking to each other.

Good morning all, good morning Ian

Hips are painful and I am sorry your wife is suffering with it.

Yesterday I chatted by text with Rod and he is doing better on his new medication. His wife Angela is now 7 weeks on from having had a hip replacement and she is doing well with full mobility and no walking stick. Jessica is the same although she still gets some post op pain from her hip replacement. I had other blood results come in which shows I have anaemia which the surgeon warned me about. It was due to being on blood thinners and having massive blood loss during the op. So now on more iron and spinach!

This morning I am doing more Christmas cards and letters

Do look after yourselves

Had another bleed (retinal tear) in my left eye and further problems in my right eye.

They can't do any further laser treatment until the blood in the eye has dissolved so will be going back in a fortnight.

I am sorry if I have missed other posts on here but it is a struggle/strain to see with only one eye working.
I hope everyone is well and apologies for not being about to catch up.

Chat soon peeps.
Good morning Jeff

In view of your eye bleed and eye strain don’t worry about replying here, your eye needs rest and for the bleed to clear. Do try and have some time out for healing particularly after the eye has had the laser. Thank you for letting us know and do take care.

They're back on good terms again! Had to knock up something requesting more food waste bags to go out with the recycling box tonight, there wasn't a request slip with the last roll

Having a few minutes to myself, Ging hit me with a text late last night "can you make spring rolls tomorrow?"!! Had to wait for Ging to get home with a couple of packs of pork mince before I could start. Now waiting for the filling to cool down and the wrappers to defrost. I've still to prep veg for Filipino noodles that Ging is going to cook and take with her tonight.
