100MB is never enough for me. I regularly end up in the 200MB+. If you use dedicated GPS apps (Sygic, iGo, etc.) then data usage will be less demanding.

100Mb is a very small allowance however as long as you use wifi at home or work it should be enough. Be careful though as out of bundle data can be very expensive.

I use about 1200mb a month..
I use my phone as my satnav using sat maps. All my usage when on the road and I wigle. When at home It's connected to wifi. Upon inspection It's mostly GPS.. However I tend to set it showing me the maps when I drive anywhere even if I don't need the GPS functions.

I'd research how much it would be to buy a phone outright and bung a giffgaff Sim in it.
The missus has a desire z on giffgaff for a tenner a month with unlimited data. It works out much cheaper than my contract.

Many thanks for the replies, I will try to buy a Smartphone and try Giffgaff, how easy is it to cancel from 02 and keep my old number?, I don't want any hassle arguing with the person on the other end.

Dont know if this helps but the last four days I have been using a dongle for all my internet as I am waiting for a new provider.
I haven't used the net as much as its so slow but over the four days I have used just short of 1800mb. |
