Many thanks to Phil for making this available.

For Windows 10 users who are using Windows Defender and are getting the false positive detection here's how to allow Phil's program to work:

Open IPK_Changer.exe from the .zip file and get the message about malicious software being detected - you've probably already done this so don't need to do it again.

Then if the Windows Defender window isn't already open nip down to Cortana at the bottom left and type 'Windows Defender', then click on the top option that's subtitled as a Desktop App.

When the Defender window opens, click the History tab, then select 'All Detected Items' followed by 'View Details'.

From the list that appears, select the top option: Trojan:Win32/Dynamer!ac then click the Allow button, bottom right.

Windows might ask you to confirm that choice.

You can now go back to the .zip file and run IPK_Changer.exe again, and/or copy it to your computer in an uncompressed location.

I've just ordered a cable and will be making a contribution to Phil's Paypal to say thanks as soon as I've had a play with it.

If only I could use it to turn on the IPK message for the front fog lights that I've just installed :-)

I've just soldered pins 7 and 8 together on my new cable and had a go with this software. It all worked as expected - My car is speaking Spanish for the time being!

The only problem I have is with resetting the Oil Service value.

When I bought my car, the message on startup was INSPECTION -12,100 or thereabouts. I've given it a service and the negative figure has been gradually creeping up as I didn't reset it.

I've done about 2k miles since the service and wanted to set the inspection value for a 12,000 mile service interval so tried inputting a value of 9163 which would set it bang on.

The problem is that my IPK now gives me an Inspection value of -8050. I can't work out why it's still a negative number and also why it's not the number I specified.

I'm obviously missing something, but does anyone know what?

Cheers :-)

Reset the service interval first, then set the oil service figure you want

what is the number...

i think once you reach maximum km or miles overdue then the number does not increase.

Good afternoon klarzy, thanks for helping me,
I did service oil after I reset service with TOAF and programmed to 10,000km (6214 miles) service interval is always in the 10,000 km and will not retract.
What I have done wrong?
