Default rear wiper not working

Hi, I have a problem I cannot get the rear wiper to work. I can see that the pin in the latch is not moving and is stuck in could this cause the motor to stop working. If that is the problem then how do i get the pin free please.

Default Diesel Dick

Probably spindle sized in tube through rear screen, happened to three of my tourers. Remove rear wiper arm and circlip which stops arm being removed spray shaft with loose oil or simular type oil remove mounting wiper motor bolts and GENTLY taoon end of shaft to remove it and motor from window. Clean and grease shaft and clean out inside of tube reasemble and it should work OK.Before doing this I assume you have checked relevant fuse and have power to motor.
