Default Engine warning light

Hi,

My diesel auto has a intermittent problem. The engine warning light comes on and the power drops off for about a second or two, this can happen four or five times a journey but is only at lower speeds.
I have just done over 500 miles in it over a week and apart from that problem it runs fine. Any ideas please??

one of mine did this and it turned out to be a sticking EGR valve all clogged up. I just blanked it off using a mod I found on here and all was well again

Thanks Annie, I have removed the EGR valve already, it was on a T4 past week and it showed no problems apart from a M<AF sensor (but that is disconnected so thats why).

There isnt much that brings the EML light on but the low fuel pressure system is one of them, i would look here first, making sure the pressure sensor plug is nice and tight in the fuel filter head.
