Default rear paneling on a tourer

How much of the interior paneling do you need to remove to fit replacement rear shocks? and is there a how to ??

It's all of it from both sides I'm afraid, another badly thought out design (if it ever was) It's a real pain in the neck for something that should have been so easy to do.

Trying to remove the side pices with the floor lifted is a real pain. You could remove the boot floor to make it easier but that's a pain.
The D pillar trims, catch surround, both outer rear squabs for the rear seats need to be removed too.

Haynes manual gives a good write up. Not intuitive the first time round, after that it's straightforward if fiddly. 20 minutes or so to strip the trim when you're familiar with it.

From the C pillar back the tourer appears to have been designed by a totally different company...

Ahaaaa! That explains it. Never had any trouble from the C-pillar and back.

Come to think of it, rear light fittings but that is Hella, I suspect. German!
