Sean aka Radioguy sells these units designed to replace the less capable original hi-line systems, but will fit in any of our cars. DD stands for Double Din. Very clever unit, a lot of options available, touch screen, audio and video outputs, iPod charging, usb input, CD/DVD player, reversing camera input - the list goes on.

Information on the DD unit available here.

Here is a picture of it installed in my car, with reversing camera on. The "Back" text in the top left indicates the camera is on due to reverse being selected.

And in action navigating us to Scotland...

Thumbs up Excellent facia

Have to say that your DD and AC look very impressive with the matching wood effect.
I feel that the retro look of the 75 is compromised by the ultra modern DD and although I quite fancy having the tech I would like it to blend in as much as possible. Yours is the first Ive seen that addresses that problem.
Can I ask if this is some very clever paintwork or is it possible to buy this option?
Also do you know if its possible to make the screen icons look more retro?

The wood effect is available as a kit & if you do a search on here, it's supplied by a chap from Bulgaria called Simon.

The built in screen icons are rather quirky in the DD, due to the Chinese origins of the DD unit. The icons of the actual satnav software are more westernised and I suppose those could with a bit of effort be changed. The boot screen can be set to almost anything you fancy and quite easily, some of us have the Rover 75 boot screen, but any 800 x 400 image can be used.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
