Marinabrian You're not a messias but you are a wizard
Dear friends, I'll tell you a story
I recently got a Rover 75 that was about to be shot down for scrap ... As I was needing another car here at home and 75 was always an old dream, the opportunity arose and I took advantage Well, but given the age and condition of the car, of course it came with some problems that needed to be solved. One of which was the ipk display. So I started searching the net where I could repair or get a new one. Google was a friend and brought me right to this thread: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=260807 That's how I discovered this fantastic home. After sending messages via facebook to Rick to solve the malfunction of ipk, I started to search this magnificent forum where I found a wealth of information that constitute a true treasure for the owners of a 75 or ZT ... Meanwhile I was solving the faults that my 75 had. Having already been rolling on the road and where he has great behavior, I noticed that he needed something more to provide more driving pleasure. It was then that after reading several testimonies from some members decided that the remapping of the ECU as a goal to move forward. There I encountered many logistical difficulties because I could not find any T4 near me, not even in my country. I still thought about using the maps that are embedded in well-known software, but I did not have the courage to trust them after what I also read about their use. So I sent a PM to Trikey to know the possibility of remapping the ECU while I was in Portugal. Then he led me to the Marinabrian ... My situation was not easy to solve because the 75 was in service and sending the ECU and being stopped for some time was not an option. We then decided that I would send a dump of the ECU made by a known tool and it would analyze the possibility of doing the remapping, then sending me the updated dump with the corrected maps. Of course being a solution not yet done there was always the risk of the upgrade not being successful ... Fortunately, Marinabrian is an expert and managed to do what I wanted. Now I have my 75 CDT remapped with 160 PS and I can only say WOW but what a difference, Brian is my Special One No doubt it is an upgrade that is well worth doing, the car now has a new soul The best part is that method can be applied by everyone, of course with a little care, far away from a T4 like me A big thank you to Trikey who headed me in the right direction. A big big thank you to Brian for doing another great job. You're not a messias but you are a wizard. Enjoy your life David Last edited by malagas; 13th February 2019 at 19:13.. |
