Default Interior advice

Can all you knowledgeable people give me advice, I have a 75 Classic SE as we know they are the low end spec car, if a full interior from a high spec car, say a Connie is acquired can this be easily swapped over to the Classic? My main concern is the rear doors will have electric windows, and at present the Classic has 'keep fit' windows.

Are there any other issues that would be a concern?

all of the seats door cards wil fit your car but in order to get the rear windows electric you need the switches and a different bcu unit and a t4 session to work

And of course - the motors

As for the rest of the interior - plug and play wise it all depends what wiring you have under your seats. Electric, electric and heated, electric heated and memory or you might be lucky and find manual leather even if you don't have the wiring present.

Even without the wiring present, you can still retrofit.

I would just change the seats as the door cards are no diffrent even in leather cars they stillhave cloth inserts.

Adding the loom is easy if your good with electrics.

Yes you can Keith, I've done just that in my "Classicsseur" SE, including rear electric window upgrade

I am looking at the rear door panels because the Interior up for grabs has electric windows, and mine are manual. Plus it's a different colour, so the more changed the better. (inc steering wheel.... etc.)

Obviously acquiring the interior is priority, then the fun starts, a lot to do and a lot to learn.... will be hitting the 'How To's' and calling on lots of help.

Where is the 'BCU' that is mentioned?

One thing I have noticed on this site is people don't read peoples post and seem to all be park of a click.

If the two posters above read my posts it would be apparent that I am saying to the poster to just change the seats and leave the windows as is.

I didnt know the orginal poster didnt say they wear going to a diffrent colour also.

What I say still stands bar tje obvious hole. The leather interiors still have cloth door cards as the cloth ones do. Plus changing the door car rusults in broken clips and rattles unless you reppace broken clips so unless electric rear windows are needed I wouldnt bother changing them. But obviously the cards would have to be changed to match the new colour.

Yes have to accept responsibility there, my original post did just say interior, and I did not mention a complete colour change, I am looking at going from Ash Grey to 'Cream' so the more components changed the better for obvious reasons, Thanks for your contributions though, this is what forums are all about. One positive about this forum unlike many others is that people can contribute and opinions can be questioned, but we remain civil throughout the process.
