My car currently has 205 width tyres on it. They all need to be replaced and I notice later cars had 195 width tyres on. They're a bit less money which is good but will there be a different in terms of ride and handling?

205 Tyres
Morning
Just to comment on your dilemma re your choice of tyres. I went up to a set of Dunlop 205's (15 inch wheels) from a mixed bag of 195's and the difference was amazing. Handling and ride quality (noise etc.) is very good. I did write a review on this site about a year/18months ago. Personally I'd stay on the size you've got. Ian |

I have 4 brand new Dunlop Blue Response tyres on the 1.8T. Size is 195/65/15 and I find them quiet and good over bumpy roads. Better than the 215/55/16 tyres I had on the Unions which were a bit firmer. At £180 fully fitted they are excellent value too. Personal choice is exactly what we all have so I decided to buy top brand 195 tyres and enjoy the comfort as well as good performance.
