Default k-series cylinder head (1.8t)

How'do folks

I'm considering replacing the cylinder head on my 1.8t - rather than doing valve repairs

if a replacement head is fitted i can take my time reconditioning my original head as a spare.

I can source a brand new head with valves fitted - or a reconditioned head with valves, tappets and camshafts.

i'd love to have a Brand new head - however i feel reconditioned (pressure tested etc..) would be a better option

r.e Camshafts - on a brand new head, would it be as simple as swapping over my original Camshafts/Tappets ? making sure that each tappet goes on the correct valve and pairs with the same camshaft lobe ?

and, with the reconditioned head - are there differences in the camshafts fitted to different applications of the 1.8 k series - i.e would a Landrover Freelander 1.8 head have the same spec/profile camshafts as my 1.8t 75 ?

from what info i can find it seems the Freelander and the 75 use the same part number.

Paul.
Go for the new one with valves Paul, and your cams will drop straight in.

All post 1999 16 valve heads are the same barring the VVC from 1400 to 1800
