Default Tablet advice... Which one?

Hi all, in the near future I am looking at getting a cheap tablet (Xmas time) and I'mwo ndering if there are any decent ones for around the £100 Mark?

It has to be on Android and the newer the version the better.

If anyone has any recommendations or advice, I would love to hear it.
Thanks.

I wouldn't buy a £100 tablet, it will be a horrible experience for the user, with the displays being low and not very responsive, either go for the 1st gen Nexus 7 if you can find one new still as they'll be a bit cheaper now or go for the 2nd gen nexus 7.

This is fantastic for the money. My lad had the previous version for Christmas and its equally as good as the Mrs's Samsung one which was nearly £300!

They do a 10.1 in version too.

At tesco there is a new tablet called the hudl. For £119 its a 7 inch but it's supposed to be really good beating better known tablets.

I heard something about that Thomas, i will look into it, wasn't it on the news how it rivals the iPad?

the Nexus 7 is the #1 for 7 inch tablets, there is a nexus 10 for the bigger size however its closer to £300
