Default FS: Walnut Auto Gearknob (SOLD)

I have a surpless to requirements Rover compatable BMW Walnut auto gearknob for sale. (It's the one on the left in the pictures.

As you can see in the pictures it's a pretty good match for the rover being the same shape. The only real difference is the chrome trim is not on the BMW one and the colour is slightly different.

As for the colour match. It's hard to correctly see it in the pictures as the BMW one looks liter than it really is. The BMW one is a better match for the gear surround than the Rover original in my opinion and this casn be seen in some of the pictures.

I believe the Rover one I have is a darker walnut than the rest of the car but not by much.

Together the colours look quite a bit different

But as a match for the surrounding walnut items it is a better match.

There is a little wearing of the leather at the top but to be honest the camera makes it look worse than it really is.

I really found it hard to decide between the two and have swapped them a few times. In the end the original won but mainly due to the wife saying we may as well keep the rover original.

Anyhow it's an easy swap (1 min) for your existing one and looks MUCH better than the black leather ones. You'll just have to pull off the old one and put this in as I have left the R75 shifter connected to it.

Yours for £22 delivered in the UK.

As the Rover ones are £70 plus postage on eBay this is not a bad deal

Superb price there, and what a great match to the wood - Surprised you're not keeping that one

I've been trying not to spend any more on my car for a bit too, but i guess I can resist anything but temptation (I' m sure Mr Wilde would have 75 if he was about these days).

In the last few weeks my 75 has had a service, new exhaust, brake pads, lpg service, new lpg pipes and hoses, steering pump, wiper blades, interior door handle, top shocks and cambelt change.

oh and I've ordered some chrome wing mirror covers....
